JUST THE FAQS
Q. I don't want to donate online. How else can I support Give 30 in the fight against hunger in our community?
A. You can donate by mailing a cheque or making a telephone call to the Give 30 Campaign Partner Organization of your choice. You will find all the information you need, including address and telephone contact information on the Donate page on this website.
Q. Is Give 30 for Muslims only?
A. Absolutely not. Give 30 builds on the spirit of Ramadan, which encourages compassion, social solidarity and sharing with those less fortunate in our community. In fact, that spirit is shared by all paths of faith and morality and that is why Ramadan is the perfect opportunity for people of all faiths and backgrounds to unite in common cause against hunger. Check out our Mission Possible statement of values, goals and vision to learn more about what Give 30's all about.
Q. How can I trust that the money I give will get to those in need?
A. Rest assured that we don't handle money and don't process donations. Once you decide to give (and we hope you do), you'll be directed to the relevant organization's online donation page or telephone number for operators if paying by credit card. You can also pay by cheque; the mailing addresses for the Give 30 Campaign Partner Organizations is provided on Give 30's Donate page. The Give 30 Campaign Partner Organizations process donations, issue tax receipts and put your money to work fighting hunger and poverty.
Q. Are you making any money on this?
A. No. This is a completely volunteer-run grassroots initiative, which means that all the money you give goes directly to the Give 30 Campaign Partner Organizations.
Q. Do I have to wait until Ramadan begins to make a contribution?
A. No you don't. Give 30's donor page is open for business now. You can donate right now. Please don't forget to check the box indicating that you came in through Give 30 or make a note on your cheque because that will help improve next year's campaign.
